KHIMAR : A SUCCESSFUL TEST SUBJECT

Alhamdulillah.


Tak saya jangka sambutan khimar begitu hebat. Secara jujur, ini adalah salah satu kerja gila calaqisya ( as always... ) cuba market kan khimar. As we all know, bkn semua org pakai khimar. Sedang market kini jammed dgn shawl, instant dan bawal..team calaqisya cuba menentang arus. ( again..).


Our mom lah punca inspirasi. Dia suka pakai tudung labuh but nak cepat. Jadi kita buat lah instant khimar. So memang berdebar bila nak launch khimar. Glad we have a team yang betul-betul study dari segi marketing and strategy. My husband, the marketing director, always push the marketing team supaya at least on the launching day kami tak begitu kecewa. But on the day of khimar launching, 30 minutes before boutique operate, memang krik krik. Sebab before this, if new product launching, mesti customer dah beratur luar butik. The parking lot pun kosong wey! Our operation executive dah kecewa sbb dia put high expectation on that day. Muka dah masam and berkerut tanya mana pergi orang ni.


I have to comfort and explain to them yang khimar ni minority market. Bukan semua orang berani pakai dan bukan semua pandai pakai. Saya pun fikir jugak, is it because of our marketing budget on this khimar is low? Or our startegy is wrong somewhere i dont know. We just keep praying. Saya terus call my mom yang on the road to kluang for wedding untuk doa (musafir doa power).

Still nervous, and then Azrina, the Creative Director,  told me not to worry as we are selling pakaian yang mesti Allah suka, thus mesti Allah tolong kita. Make sense right . Nak tak nak, khimar kena jalan juga sbb modal untuk satu khimar memang tinggi. But we try to sell it at reasonable price sebab nak tarik orang pakai tudung labuh. Berapa meter wey nk buat satu khimar and entah knapa, walaupn kami tahu khimar is a test subject, kami buat stock dgn banyak! Haih.

 

Then, at 10.05 am datang a lady and she bought semua warna yang khimar ada. Saya mcm fuh! Finally! Lepas tu customer keep on coming and buying. Suprisingly, sorang akan beli semua colours terus. Yang indahnya, not all of the customers yang beli khimar memang pakai jenis tudung labuh. Banyak yang pakai biasa biasa je, even yang tak bertudung pun ada.


At 12 pm, our Hagrid (Designer) naik atas and told us the color black dah habis, and the customers tengah berebut siapa dapat the last piece (berebut in a very sopan way macam try to deal with each other la macam tu :D ), terus I macam phew maybe people want only black, tak apa okayla at least orang dah suka. At 3 pm, (all stores will report their total sales at this time everyday), everyone were so nervous and "come on shah alam, where's the report sale? We need it now!". Aaand... that's when our head punya phone mati time nak hantar sales report. Pffft sangat. We waited for 20 mins guys! Finally! The report came in, I see smiles on everyone's faces, you can guess why? 7 colours of khimars were sold out!!


Thank you so much to everyone who supported us yesterday!!! Yang happy sangat not because of our khimars were sold out (eventhough not going to lie of course we are glad everything is sold out :D ), tapi sebab utama is yang datang membeli bukan hanya yang bertudung labuh in fact lots of customers from Singapore. Rasanya tu Ya Allah! best gila.
